 What is SFR WiFi Cité service?
 
With SFR WiFi Cité service, you can get a high speed wireless Internet connection in several public areas.
SFR WiFi Cité service provides a global wireless access to the Internet with all the advantages of a conventional broadband connection. So, once you are connected, you can browse the Internet normally and, for instance:
  • Check your e-mail either from a website or from your e-mail application (e.g. Outlook),
  • Browse your favourite web sites (news, music, film, etc.),
  • Get information about the city (practical and administrative information).

 How to get online?
  • Make sure that you are in a WiFi coverage area and check that your laptop is WiFi-enabled
  • Run your Internet browser and go to the hotspot home page (automatic connection with Windows XP)
  • Deactivate you pop-up bloqueur
  • Enter your access codes (login and password) in the authentification zone, read and accept the conditions of use and click on "Connect"
 How to receive a SFR WiFi Cité session?
 
To receive a session which is available for 1 month* :
  • In the login area, click on "Get your access codes" to have your login details sent straight to your mobile phone
  • Enter your mobile number in the area provided and accept the conditions of use
  • Click on "get your access codes" and wait until you receive your codes (login and password) on your mobile phone
 Applicable prices on September 22nd, 2008 :
 
From this date, the access will become paying for certain services and will remain free for the municipal information and certain sites of local or cultural interest.
  • 1 hour available 24 hours : 3 euros
  • 24 hours available 1 week : 5 euros
  • 1 week of unlimited connexion** : 10 euros
  • 1 month of unlimited connexion ** : 16 euros
 
To get a session, buy it directly on our  SFR WiFi Cité portal :

Choose one of the proposed sessions and receive your access codes directly on your mobile phone. The purchase of this session will be charged on your usual SFR invoice.
Let's connect with these access codes on the homepage of the SFR WiFi Cité portal and begin to surf freely.

If you have some problems to connect your device:

  • Check that your device is connected to SFR network (SSID) "SFR WiFi" (respecting the capital and lower-case letters).
  • Check that your laptop has the good specific settings connection, see FAQ - Necessary equipement / specific settings
 Who have access to this service?
  • To get a session, you must have a mobile phone, whatever the operator is, in France or in a foreign country. You will receive your access code by short message straight on your mobile phone.
  • To access to WiFi Cité service, you must have a WiFi device-enabled.

(*) The session periods can be divided up. You can use your session in several stages during the validity period. For example, a one-month session that starts at 3.20 PM on December 7, 2007 will end at 3.20 PM on January 7, 2008. The SFR WiFi Service session must be used before the expiry date stated.

(**) : Unlimited connexion : Once your session was consumed, it ends automatically at the end of its duration (ex: a session of a week of unlimited connection begun on Monday, October 6th at 5 pm ends on Monday, October 13th at 5 pm).
